The ‘You’ve Got a Friend’ project started in April 2017 when a group of like minded musical friends came together with one specific aim: to raise awareness of mental health issues in Leicestershire, which is our community. We wanted to create a space to talk about it.
We have recorded a song which is free to download and we will also be arranging events.
We know how important it is to have connections with others. Friends, family and community are vital in supporting positive mental health for us all.
Talking about mental health is very important.
Friendship is a joy in itself, conferring happiness and a sense of wellbeing. And the accumulation of bonds and camaraderie around the world can contribute to fundamental shifts that are urgently needed to achieve lasting stability
